MCP
Candis does not yet offer an MCP serverThere is currently no Candis MCP server, neither for the Candis API nor for this documentation. No MCP connection can read, create or change invoices, contacts, purchase orders, exports or any other data in your Candis organization.
If you want an AI assistant to work with your Candis data, you can build your own MCP server on top of the Candis API, using API credentials created in your Candis organization.
Building your own MCP server
An MCP server is a small service that exposes tools to AI assistants such as Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. To connect one to Candis:
- Create API credentials in your Candis organization. See Credentials.
- Implement the authentication flow in your server. See How to Authenticate.
- Expose the Candis API endpoints you need (for example, the Core Data API or the Export API) as tools in your MCP server.
Each access token is issued for one Candis organization. If you work with several organizations, your server needs a separate token for each one.
